Has someone’s words hurt you? Has anyone ever said something to you and the words hurt deep? The reality of it is that words can hurt and cause wounds were no man can see.
Proverbs 18: 8
The words of a talebearer are as wounds and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.
When we get hurt like this, only the Lord can heal such wounds. Have you ever seen someone in the hospital because they feel hurt deeply by what someone else said and need those wounds to be healed? No because only the Lord can do that.
Psalm 147: 3
He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
When we are hurt by words from other people, what we need to do is turn our hearts over to the Lord for healing.
Only the Lord can reach down to our innermost being. No man can do that. Only the Lord has the speciality of ‘binding up wounds’ in places no man can reach. For He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.
