Have you ever been there before? You have done all you know how to do and it seems your efforts are not good enough. Don’t give up, there is someone that can lift you up!.
The application of the word ‘lift’ can be applied in various settings. One application is when you can do it yourself e.g. lift up your hands, and another application is when you cannot do it and you need help. This article is based on the second application of the word ‘lift’.
Lets look at an example from scripture:
Luke 13: 11And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself.
And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.
Just because you have been in a situation where it seems you cannot lift yourself out of it does not mean it is over. Remember that with God, nothing shall be impossible, Our God specialises in impossibilities.
This woman could not lift up herself, She could not take herself out of the situation but the Lord stepped in. The rest is history.
Be encouraged, He will lift you up. His Word will lift you up! Help is at hand.
Psalm 3:2-4
Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah
Don’t give up!. Wait on Him, trust in Him and He will lift you up!.
